Songdo Triple Street (2017)
TripleStreet in Songdo International City, Incheon, Korea, is a futuristic shopping mall spanning 122,000 square meters underground and 58,000 square meters above ground with more than 200 stores, the largest multiplex cinema in the region with 8 screens and 1500 seats, an 820 square meter hologram theater, a virtual reality (VR) theme park, and other entertainment facilities. Triple Street, which opened in 2017 and has emerged as a landmark in Songdo, is equipped with a smart building system using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The underground area is larger than 17 soccer fields combined, so to make it easier for visitors to find their destinations, large kiosks provide directions, event information, coupons, and other functions. We have also incorporated IoT technology into the elevators that help visitors move around smoothly. The 25 elevators installed here are equipped with computerized monitoring panels, allowing them to remotely check operation and status information. In addition to elevators, we have installed 26 escalators, making a total of 51 elevators, and we are committed to maintaining them so that visitors to Triple Street can enjoy a comfortable shopping experience. The elevator design of Triple Street is black and white. As the architectural concept suggests, the contrast between the cleanliness of pure white and the black gives shoppers a sense of psychological security. In the midst of the colorful shopping area, the pure white elevator space will be a place of relaxation for a while.
