Dongdaegu Intermodal Transit Center (2021)

Dongdaegu Intermodal Transit Center is the first intermodal transit center in Korea where trains including KTX and SRT, express buses, and Daegu Metro Line 1 are connected together. With the addition of Shinsegae Department Store Daegu, it has become more than a transportation center, but a national entertainment space where people can experience shopping, leisure, and culture. Located in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, the transit center has a gross floor area of 338,310 m², seven basement floors, and eight above-ground floors, and we installed 38 elevators, 98 escalators, and eight moving walkways with speeds of 105m (27 units), 90m (5 units), 60m (4 units), and 30m (2 units) between the center and Shinsegae Department Store Daegu. The elevator design, which is based on titanium black, has a stunning photographic look. The reflective material on both sides creates a sense of openness in the elevator, as if you are standing in a vast space. Opened in December 2018, the Dongdaegu Intermodal Transit Center has seen a rapid increase in the number of visitors and traffic users, changing the center of Daegu from Dongseong-ro to Dongdaegu.
